Will there be any literary agents present at this event? Will there be any sessions on getting published?
This is not a writer’s conference, which is where you normally go to meet agents and editors. There are numerous writer’s conferences all over the country. An excellent one is the Round Table Writer’s Conference sponsored by the New York Center for Independent Publishing. Go to their website, and you’ll learn about it. However, often agents and editors go to book fairs to look at what’s around. So you never can tell whom you’ll meet. And yes, there will be a panel on independent and small press publishing that will talk about the business of publishing.
